Canal Suites – A Favorite for Families in Bruges

Canal Suites is situated along the canal in Bruges city centre, allowing guests to step directly onto the bank and watch tour boats pass by. The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a 3-minute walk, the Belfry of Bruges is 400 metres away, and Market Square lies 400 metres from the hotel. Guest reviews describe the location as steps from the main squares yet completely quiet and peaceful.

Deluxe Rooms include a large comfortable bed, a seating area by the window, and a gas fireplace that can be lit in the evenings. The bathroom has a bidet, bathrobes, and double sinks, with the toilet placed in a separate room from the tub and sink. Guests report that the canal view from the window is spectacular and that the blackout curtains keep the room dark for sleeping.

Check-in takes place across the canal at the sister hotel Die Swaene, where staff provide a map and restaurant recommendations. The building has a lift next to the stairs, luggage storage, and paid on-site private parking located right beside the hotel. Express check-in and check-out are available, and daily housekeeping keeps the suites clean.

Couples have rated the suites 9 or 10 out of 10, mentioning the romantic canal setting and the comfortable bed. Solo travellers highlight the helpful reception staff and the central yet quiet location. Families with children describe the spaciousness of the Deluxe Rooms and the welcome treat left for birthdays.
